101 extraordinary uses for ordinary things

I have always loved household items that go above and beyond there call of duty to make the things you do every day just a little bit easier.

Colander:
Shoo files- Invert the colander and use it as a bug tent over burgers and buns.
Wash your delicates- Don't get toothpaste on your delicate fabric again.

Wine bottle or cork:
Organize jewelry- Poke stud earrings into cork and toss into your travel bag.
Keep your boots up- Slide bottles into boots so they keep their shape and stand up straight.
Marshmallow roster- Straiten a wire hanger and place a cork on the end to protect hand from heat.

Ice-cube tray:
Freeze extra sauce- Left over wine, broth, and fruit juice. Place in a freezer bag and use later.
Art project- Mix paint for the kid's art project.

Uncooked Spaghetti:
Spear hors d'oeuvres- Out of tooth picks no problem!
Light candles- also great for lighting a candle in a deep holder.

Clear tape:
Prepare to pucker up- Press the sticky side of the piece of tape to your lips to remove dry skin.
Try a new color- Try new nail polish color, place a piece of tape over your finger and paint
Seal the frayed end of a shoelace...
